Synopsis: Sym Wates loves everything about Antarctica, including the mysterious (and incidentally deceased) Captain Lawrence “Titus” Oates. Her Uncle Victor has only encouraged Sym’s fascination with Antarctica, and Sym develops an imaginary Titus, who gives her company throughout her journeys. Uncle Victor takes Sym on an adventure to Antarctica, which thrills Sym, but she realizes that more than just wanting to take his niece somewhere she wants to go, Uncle Victor is actually in search of a portal to the “hollow” earth, endangering Sym’s life.
