Synopsis: Tally Youngblood has become a Special, one of Dr. Chord's elite "law enforcement." With hypersensitive senses, Tally is sent out, once again, to find and destroy the New Smoke. While the other Specials find joy in chasing the New Smoke, Tally can't decide how she feels. She has been given orders, and she is trained to follow those orders at all cost, but she still feels drawn to the New Smoke and to David, the leader. For the second time, Tally has to overcome the lesions in her brain and decide what she really wants.
